Flagstaff 5er 8528 question;

OC? Any of the others who have this 5er;

Is there a huge square hole in the bottom of the bathroom sink cabinet, completely open to the pass through storage below?

I'm talking about 12"X16" at least...wide open. A child could climb up through that, out the cabinet door and be inside the RV.

If so, did you close it up? Yes, as someone else was saying, you could open that cabinet door in severe cold (if you're not winterized), set a small ceramic heater in front of that cabinet and push heat down into the basement.

(we're winterized right now...lots of pink stuff, thankfully done at the dealer's shop yesterday)

OC, did you have that hole and did you seal it off?

It's a dirty clothes chute. I don't use it so I covered it up so critters, or cold air, can't enter.

Well that's silly. You'd think they would have placed some sort of cover over it. Yes, the edges *are* finished on it.

Alrighty, since we don't plan to drop our dirty clothes down in to the pass through basement area, it's gonna get sealed over.

I'm thinking a large sized cutting board would work just fine, but DH's hobbies include wood working, so I'm sure he has something out in the shop he can cut to fit, might even put hinges on it with a hook and eye latch.

Awesome folks here, always have answers...so...

now I have a second question (actually DH wants to know)

For those of you with the corner tv/entertainment center, with shelves underneath and the TV mounted almost flush with the front of the cabinet;

How did you route your HDMI cable from the satellite receiver up to the back of the TV?

check radio shack, they sell a 90 degree HDMI plug that will work that is what I had to do. works out fine only sticks out about a 1/2"

Well the real problem is that the receiver sits on a shelf below the television (which is mounted flat on the front of the cabinet) How do you get the cable up through the shelf and then up to the back of the television without tacky cable showing?

It appears he'll have to drill holes and run the cable up through the shelf above where the reciever sits, then feed the cable up through that hollow wedge shaped cabinet, then through the face of that cabinet to the TV.

Can you post a picture? We have the 8528 and I have done lots of work to the audio and video. We use the laundry shoot every time out. I have a basket mounted under the hole and it just fills up. We mostly travel just weekends but a few longer trips and it works well for us.

The receiver will sit on that shelf right under the television, right by the stereo where the wooden tray is sitting.
