Smile Flagstaff 831FKBSS Ordered April 2, 2008

Hello Everyone.

Well we are very excited. Just placed an order for a Flagstaff 831FKBSS on April 2, 2008. Went with the Green color décor, free standing table and chairs, upgraded to the 15k BTU A/C, aluminum wheels, tinted safety glass, outside speakers and some other stuff but no need to bore you here. I will be sure to get some pictures when we take delivery.

We are being told 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. But like everyone else we are thinking it will be sooner. My thoughts are that orders are down due to the economy.

We are also please that we are getting a 2009 VIN number and can start and use it in 2008.

Thanks to the moderators and admins for this board. I am sure it will be very helpful

We are thrilled with Forest River, but I am sure we have rose colored glasses on now and we will need help.

Thanks Woody, I will be sure to post some pictures. This waiting time when the weather is getting warmer is killing us.

Three weeks that we placed the order. Does anyone think its too soon to call the dealer or should I email FR direct. I hear about all these people getting email from FR when they are doing the build and when they should expect delivery. Any suggestions? Or is it too soon.

Support the Forum make a Donation

Congrats on the new FR camper. We got our Flagstaff a couple weeks ago. We are going camping for the first time this weekend. We have made a few mods, COMPLIMENTS OF THIS FORUM! The knowledge and friendship already shown to me prompted a donation to the forum. I really encourage everyone to help the forum out and make a donation. What would FR life be without it?
If you like it, if you use it, support it with a donation!

So far: AGAIN, compliments of the forum: Installed LCD TV in bedroom,
pushed back the walls or removed them in the cabinets and basement areas.
Installed a storm door with plexiglass and velcro. Installed a electric jack, got the XM Running, secured the bumper sewer caps! Check out milzat, he has made some aweome mods. His and everyone else posting has made the FR purchase just that much better!

You will have your camper soon, and a good time you shall have!

As the excitement continues we are now into May and 4 weeks from our order date. We got good news from our dealer, he was told from Forest River that our camper will be coming off the line the week of May 20th. YEAH !!!! If it passes the FR QA testing then a drive away company is contacted and he should have it on the lot in about 1 to 2 weeks from when it comes off the line. Then the fun begins. I am already getting my PDI checklist ready and taking a couple buddies with as extra eyes to look it over from top to bottom while it is still on the lot. It should arrive about 2 weeks before we have a trip planned to Wildwood NJ. Hope the 15K BTU A/C works. I will be sure to get the ever requested pictures when we get to see it for the first time.

I would add (if already not there) an inspection of the roof. I found that the vinyl roof was not even glued down on the whole front section of mine. The dealership did a good fixing it.

Congrats on the new camper, and remember to check out that Concertone real good! All the speakers on A,B, and C including the sub mounted near the floor, and the 5.1 surround in the main area. Mine quit the first day!

Very Nice looking TT there Mike and Donna. Your gonna love it. We have the Rockwood version 8315BSS, they look quite similiar. Ours was delivered last Thursday. We packed it up that night and left Friday for the weekend. Everything was great.
