Flagstaff 8528rlikws axle questions

I have a 2016 Flagstaff 8528rlikws that has the dexter 4000 pound tandem axles under it. My first question is I want to replace all the bearings but cant seem to find the correct ones. Does anyone know what part numbers Ill need? Im hoping to have everything I need before I start taking it all apart.

Secondly I just purchased a 2018 Ram 3500 4X4 with the cummins as my new tow vehicle. I am also using a B&W hitch. With the hitch at its lowest point the 5er still sits nose high. I was thinking about purchasing one of the 2 and 7/8 inch lift for the trailer. Has anyone used one and what are your thoughts? Really appreciate the help.

Thanks

If you have Dexter Torflex axles, here's a link to the service manual (600-8K axles) on Dexter's web site. It lists bearings, seals, magnets, etc.

Dexter has a lot of good information on their web site and are really good about phone calls too.

If you don't have Torflex axles, get your tag info off the axle and get in touch with them.

Dexter 600-8K Torflex Service Manual.

Welcome and don't worry, packing bearings is an easy job to do at home. Just keep everything clean and use the correct grease, don't over tighten the spindle nut.

Dexter has great customer service. I have used email several times to contact them. I did have to crawl under the trailer and get the serial number off the back of the axle. It was not stamped very deep so I rubbed it with soapstone. Sent the number and got the build sheet bearing and seal info. Hub info and brake info.

8528IKWS

We have a 2016 8528IKWS and tow with a Ram 2500. It sit nose high and when contacting Dexter about lift blocks for the Torflex axles, the rep told me it was not advised. My advice is to check with Dexter about the lift blocks

Are you sure they are dexter axles. My Hemisphere came with 4400lbs lippert axles which are garbage and i cant even bring myself to resell them to someone. Lippert uses a 5200lbs axle tube and puts a 3500lbs spindle on it with a 6 lug 10in brake drum and calls it 4400lbs. Don't ask me how they get away with this when the bearings are for a 3500lbs axle. Needless to say I now have 2 6000lbs made in USA dexter axles.
