Youroo, my son was going for the Rolls Royce "Spirit of Ecstacy" look and, well, it was a valliant effort!

Looks like he had all the right mixtures, just the wrong fixtures.

Exactly, it's why Youroo had it right with the old pirate ship mastheads...They were properly equipped!

I had an Antigua 195ck hybrid. I bought the bumper mount bike rack from camping world. I took the kids for a quick impromptu camping trip to mongaup sate park in Livingston manor NY. That campground is huge and the roads in it are great bike ridding roads. My kids were 6 years old and had small bikes. I was in a hurry to go so I tossed their bikes in the camper and put mine on the rack on the bumper. The road leading up to the campground is not a smooth road, no pot holes just not a smooth road, again I was in a hurry and probably driving a tad faster than I should have when I got to the gate one of the employees mentioned I was dragging something.
That something turned out to be my bike, my bumper, my spare tire. How it held on I don't know, bike was destroyed but it did prevent the spare tire from hitting the road.
Another thing I learned that weekend........I'm in no shape to run alongside two 6 year olds on bikes!

Flagstaff bumpers, do they hold bicycles

Ouch. Those bumpers were designed to hold the spare tire (barely), sewer hose and a sticker that says don't attach anything else.

I got a new salem hemisphere to and he sent me to a welding shop it cost me a good chunk but they framed and welded up a new hitch receiver on the back. I can tow a boat if I really wanted to....of course this is for our bikes. It attaches to the frame and the dealer supports the unit.

i don't believe the Salem Hemi is an ultralight trailer, like the Flagstaff, therefore may not have the same issues.

Just be aware that the extra weight of the hitch and torque from the bike mount is added to what the frame needs to deal with. Occasional inspections of the frame, just aft of the rear axle attachment would not be wasted effort.

As an avid road cyclist, and someone who just pulled a new Flagstaff Classic Super Lite 8528RKWS home Saturday, I'm disappointed to hear all of this. I guess my bike will have to ride inside the camper for a while ... maybe it won't mind!

Good idea!
Speaking from experience here I'd find another method.

don't know what TV you have but as another avid cyclist, i suggest a roof rack or something like this:
SR 4000 | Support-Rack

plus, if you're like me, my bikes cost too much to put someplace that i can't see them, like on the back of a trailer.

To me the biggest plus would be it would keep "Sticky fingers" off of it/them!
