Flagstaff bumpers, do they hold bicycles

Can the bumper hold the 2"receiver and 3 bikes without twisting the bumper?

General consensus around here tends to be 'no'. That the bumpers, especially an ultralight one, can't have anything mounted to it.

This issue has been covered many times with different opinions, If you do a search on rear bumper you can find them.

Only if you fold them up and put them inside the bumper.

Absolutely not .

THIS IS NOT ONLY MY OPINION but has happened to me.

I had a flagstaff tt and the bikes reacted so violently on the rear bumper they broke right thru the rear fiberglass and knocked holes in it.

Long Islander, you better check your warranty and read a bunch of the discussions on this forum before you think about welding to the Flagstaff frame too. And like Turbs, I almost lost a Honda gen going down the interstate when the bumper broke. The frame is fragile too.

Mine has the same sticker. Front trailer hitch receiver for your truck. Add bikes there.

Thanks to the campers next to me last weekend I saw first hand what bikes can do to a bumper.
The center of the bumper crushed like a empty beer can.

You know guys, we need to be fair to the Flagstaff brand if others read this discussion. Flagstaff brand of TTs and FWs are not the only RVs to have this issue.

put a front receiver on your truck. Nobody ever seems to consider this option, and a front receiver can be had for just over $100

Front receivers make for great hood ornament installs also!

Nobody made a front receiver for a GMC van so I had one custom fabbed and installed for $100. Excellent option to keep your bed free also..
