Does the futon then fold out like a bed? I would need that for the grand kids.

The one we installed does. When folded out, it’s s full size bed. Yes, it’s perfect for small grandkids.

Do you have a link to your futon? This is interesting if it is more comfortable. My sofa is great to sit on but the back is high and lumpy when pulled out to a bed.
Thanks
TC

I purchased at Wayfair.com. Their are many options. I took the measurements of the area, and the camper doorway. The futon was less than $150. If I had to do it over again, I would search stores, so I could actually feel the cushions. Still, the futon is much improved over the JK sofa. Since you like how yours sits, have you considered buying a full size air mattress as a topper when pulled out?

I would think that would be a pain to inflate and deflate. I'm going to start looking at futons though and see how comfortable they are.
Thanks

Hello Joe- sorry this is a reply to an older thread. Do you remember what kind of material you used on your sofa?

After 3 years of the futon, it was time for a change to something more comfortable. We moved the futon to the house, placed it the grandkids play room. We put in a twin mattress, with a memory foam topper, and large throw pillows. It will sit much better, and sleep way better. My DW and I will enjoy the upgrade.
