Flagstaff or Rockwood

Just wondering which brand sells more, Rockwood or Flagstaff. Are their more dealers for one brand are they evenly split across the USA?

That's hard to answer being they are really the same unit that comes off the same line. I tend to see more flagstaff's at CG then Rockwoods and I do look. I think the flagstaff line is a little better but it's really knowing what to look for in quality.

I went on the factory tour for Rockwood/Flagstaff in October, 2015. The units are built on the same assembly line and are identical except for fabric colors, flooring colors, decals and exterior colors.

I went on the same tour in 2013 but they were running the V noise that day. There are a few different changes in the models between them, but mostly they are the same. I just like my friends cabinets better. might just be the color or something but your right they are pretty much the same. It's like his sofa seems to be a better quility, but his is a couple years older and who knows if FR didn't decide to cheap out after that. Don't get me wrong I love my Rockwood or I would have gotten a Flagstaff but they do not make a 8289WS flagstaff.....

I was under the impression every model was in both Rockwood and Flagstaff just with different names and numbers and colors.

There are way more Rockwood dealers, than Flagstaff dealers.

The inside is the same, If that is the outside of it in the picture it is totally different. Also it looks like granite counter tops which they did not have in 2012. Also extra hatch in the rear. But the same layout. Not sure if they had that in 2012 or not in there line. My dealer had a few Flagstaffs but not that one. Also different windows we have full wall 3 at the dinner table and ends of that slide. So it's close but no cigar. Like I said they make small changes between the lines. Also I found at my dealer Flagstaffs where priced a little higher. I got every upgrade they offered at the time, the unit was at a show and they just brought it back to the dealer. So we got a good price at the time. The only difference inside is the shower, and counter tops and fixtures upgrade.

Just checked the internet for an 2011 8528 IKWS, all I can find is a 2011 8528RKWS, which is a rear kitchen not the same at all. The reason I looked at the 2011 models was because my unit came off the line 12/28/2011 but they called it a 2012 when I bought it in Feb 2012. So I don't still know if they made the 8528IKWS in 2011?......

Yes it's true and here is a shocker for you that I learned also, they roll off 32 per day that is there quota that they meet, so tell me how many they much sell?.......

More Rockwood dealers? Within a 2 hour drive from my house there are 4 Flagstaff dealers and 1 Rockwood dealer. I guess it varies greatly elsewhere.

My tour guide said that if they meet their quota early they get to go home. That may contribute to issues regarding quality. He also said that one unit per day is selected at random for more detailed quality review. I don't know what that entails or what happens if they find defects.

Our new Flagstaff has no "know" defects. After 12 nights camping in 1 ½ months we feel pretty good about our 26RLWS. We just added two more Create-a-Breeze fans and love the breeze they create (thus the name) and the white noise for sleeping. We had a 62degF night over Valentines Day weekend on South Padre Island......we loved it!!

It's good to hear about your 26RLWS. I am glad to hear no problems. I am waiting on ours to be delivered. Hopefully in the next couple weeks.

Only other difference of note would be a slight model changes in mid year. I notice on some 2015 models there's a exterior access door for storage behind the fireplace on the models 3029W and 30WRLIKS.

FR is always making changes. I couldn't tell you if it from owners or just to change up a little, selling point. I'm glad to see that in last 3 years, I have seen them move from WFCO convertors to progressive, Offing upgraded tires on some units. And in overall just a better product. They are on the right trail. But like any corp. Change is slow. So I encourage to keep writing what you like and dislike and how to improve that model. There is proof that they monitor this forum with great respect. Now if they would only have a rep. for each line on here it would really help us all..
