I think I have the longest drop hitch Equalizer makes and I'm at the bottom of it. Don't think I could get the TT level if the hitch was on the bottom.

Maybe that's one small reason to prefer the "top-loader"?

Tall TV with low coupler

The combination of the above makes for trouble during set up and low ground clearance for the bars.

I think this is why my Reese Straight Line was set up with incorrect bolt holes to begin with. Some old notes off another forum also explained why I was bending brackets during turns. Getting it right the first time makes for a fatter wallet and less hassle.

My 2500 Chevy would work easier with the top coupler I'm thinking after using this bottom one for 3 1/2 years.

OH! Lippert is located just a few miles north east of the Flagstaff plant where the trailers are assembled. Why build your own if someone else is so close I guess. Google Earth is a wonderful thing. Your own private drone.

Something about Lippert that made me say WTF.... I need one of my slides adjusted. Lippert says anyone making adjustments must be Lippert Certified. So I asked where can i find someone Lippert Certified? They said they don't have a list nor can they provide that information. There's a Lippert manufacturing facility about 40 miles from me in Arkansas City, KS . So I asked if I could go there and have my Lippert slide adjusted? They said they are not Lippert certified there. What.... Lippert employee's are not certified to do work on what they manufacture. I give up. ..

Probably don't make RV parts there. Guess you need to take back to dealer. Later RJD

Been by there they manufacture frames from what i could see from the highway. From what I gather even the dealers are not actually Lippert certified. Really don't want someone experimenting. ..

If that is the case be a lot of folks not getting things fixed at dealers. I think there is something amiss here. Sounds like Lippert passing the buck. I say one thing mine gets out of adjustment back to the dealer it goes for warranty work. Let them hash it out. Later RJD

So! I'll have to tow it over 3,000 miles to take it back to Millersburg, IN?

That's 1,537 miles one way. I've found this outfit very secretive about many things that Open Range always shared.

No more guessing! I was washing the Jammer preparing for a 3 week trip when I noticed a sticker on the chassis which read, Lippert Chassis Group. Maybe FR just puts the puzzle together.

Happy Trails:

Depends on the unit you buy and the issues. So far no need to go back to factory. Later RJD

Hello Everyone!

We are new here, we just bought a new Rockwood Windjammer 3025WIK (I think I got that model right -- front bath with double sink).

Anyway, I am wondering if there is a forum just for "V's"?

Thanks

Deb

Windjam2
I asked the same question "forum for V-nose owners" when we bought our 2015 2618 Windjammer.
To be honest I just discovered the V-nose owners forum. But I have had great success with posting to the General Discussions Forum. I just try to make sure that Windjammer or V-Nose is in the post and they will find you. Sometimes you can get helpful in-puts from non-jammers.
...my DW and I just spend 3 weeks ours and we are looking forward to our next adventure.
Good luck with your new Windjammer
Happy Trails

I didn't know there was a discussion forum for Windjammers/V nose.

Youroo and MainelyUS, thanks for your replies. I forgot to mention that ours is a 2015, not a 2016, but it was a new one, no PO. We were out just looking and planning to wait until Spring to buy, when we ran across this one and it was such a good deal, we couldn't turn it down.

Dont Box yourself in by going to the V-Nose Only Site! The (Things/Stuff) that are used in the Vs are the same as most Box Type trailers/5 wheels in the Rockwood/Flagstaff lines! And Camp On ! Youroo!!
