6-8 weeks at this time of year will be the minimum, I think. 'Tis the busy season.

I don't think there is any communication from the factory that you can get. I could be wrong. We dealt with our sales guy who kept us informed when asked.

I would ask my sales guy to get me an off-line date as you get closer.

From there, they will need to transport from Indiana to the East coast (assuming you bought locally). The dealer will want a few days to a week to run through their own PDI before you take delivery. Say 10-14 days after it comes off the line, but it could be longer if there are driver issues again (last year, there were delays in April/May due to the lack of drivers).

Sorry if that sounds negative. I'm just trying to be realistic with you.

Also, start to get a feel on this board for the period between orders and delivery from forum members who have recently ordered your model trailer. That can be a pretty good indication.

Good luck with everything!

In March 0f 2009, I ordered an 831FKBSS. I was originally told 6-8 weeks but it was ready and at the dealers in 4-1/2 weeks. The slow economy has impacted the RV business and they are slow in the factory...thus the orders are processed very quickly...BTW, congrats and good luck on the new TT!

congrats on the new purchase

I ordered a new camper last year mid January and was told 6 to 8 weeks - it was delivered in mid March so 6 to 8 weeks relistcly.

your dealer can call the factory to find out where it is in the building process.

Congrats on the new Flagstaff!

Sorry to be the bearer of possible bad news, BUT...

I ordered my TT the first week of January, 2011, and was told 4-6 weeks by the dealer.

TT arrived at the dealer 17 weeks later.

I guess it's all in where your order is on the build line!

Hope things go better for you!

John

My wife and I just ordered a Flagstaff 831BHDS last week and were also told 3 to 6 weeks. We had a 98 Rockwood 1476 PuP that we loved but wanted something bigger. Can't wait!!
Tow vehicle is a Chevy 2500HD 2003. Shouldn't have any towing issues, should I?

Congrats on the new trailer but as above results may vary. We ordered our unit 1st week of April 2010 and it came in first week of July. It was abt 14wks. You dealer should get an off delivery line date when they get the serial number.

Congrats! So I'll throw my two cents in.....we ordered ours EXACTLY one year ago TODAY. We have an anniversary, and I didn't even know it until looking at the calendar! Anywho.....we ordered it on March 9th. It was built on May 19th, come out of quality inspection on May 20th, and we were driving it off of our dealer lot on May 21st. We only live 250 miles from the factory, so the delivery took place on the afteroon of the 20th. That makes a little over 10 weeks from order to delivery. Keep in mind that this is the busy season and everyone wants their unit before Memorial Day. And the factory has a build schedule so they'll build all of one model, then move on to the next, and then the next, and so on and so forth. There was no communication from the factory and I only called my dealer once to check on the progress once 8 weeks had come and gone. Our dealer went above and beyond to get our unit inspected, prepped, cleaned, etc. before we picked it up. In fact, the owner was going to drive to the factory to pick it up if FR couldn't get a driver lined up for the afternoon of the 20th. They had a driver shortage last year due to gas prices, and I imagine they have the same thing this year as well. Obviously in your case, there will be a bit more time for delivery to the east coast. Good luck - I hope you get our TT soon and it is everything you hoped for. Happy camping!

Stagger......You should have no problems towing that with a 2500HD. Plenty of truck.

Congratulations !Hope everything goes great for you guys.Enjoy your new TT I was told mine was coming off line the week of the 14th.Also that there is at least a 4 week delivery time.So I asked my dealer if memorial day was out of the question ? She replied not necessarily.Because they will send a driver out to pick it up as soon as they get a call that it is off line. She said she didn't want to tell me that we would have it in time just in case something happens. She only wanted to tell me what she knew for sure. [that it was coming off the week of the 14th]That don't' count it out yet lets get the unit off line first and then we will see what happens.

Just picked the 831BHDS up last saturday and it is AWESOME!!! It turned out to be a 2013 instead of a 2012. Taking our first trip this weekend to Port of Kimberling, MO. It took 11 weeks but well worth the wait!! Attached a few pics.

I have not seen those rims on any of the 2013 trailers yet. Very interesting.

Congrats! We just ordered ours this week. I sure hope it doesn't take as long as yours. We were told early July. So thinking that there is still plenty of time to camp. Only time will tell!
