Flagstaff/Rockwood Factory Representative

Morning all,

Been awhile since I have been here due to work commitiments. Just wondering if there is a current Flagstaff/Rockwood Factory Representative on the forum. I need to ask a question in regard to my slide out top seals.

Thanks

Not that I am aware of (unfortunately). Will you be going to the International Rally in Goshen this year?

Hey Ron,

The seals on the top of the slide are actually not long enough and do not come down and touch the top of the slide. I think the slide hole was actually cut too large and they just went along and put the standard size wiper on the 2 piece seal. I never caught it till last year and was going to just buy the wiper and replace it but on the way home from work last night (1 hour drive) the old brian got to thinking of just trying to find a rep and see if I can get FR to send me the proper seal and I can do the work myself. It would have been nice had I seen that in 2012 when we were at the rally as I could have had it fixed at the time and time and money are going to prevent us going back to Goshen this year as well.

I suppose anything is possible but it looks like it is in the proper position and there is no dragging or anything when it moves in and out.

I agree with Turbs just raise it, pretty easy to do just 3 nuts on each end. When it is out look from the inside on how far to raise it. Make sure you do both sides the same turns. If you need to see how to do it I could attach the instructions. Also make sure you lube it, looks like it curled on you.

Thanks! Instructions are always welcome, the bedroom slide only has one actuator and it is in the middle as it is a small slide the rear has 2 sets of adjusters.

Attached are the instruction, that looked like a big slide with the double rack. You probably have a good 1/2 " above. I had to cut the wall board because it hung a 1/4" below the metal opening. You can cut that with a box knife if you need to, You be surprised how easy it is to cut that inside wall. Remember to count your turns.

If you have room, just lower the existing seal by removing the metal strip and moving the seal down and re-attach the metal strip thru new holes in the seal and back into the original holes in the camper.

That was my first thought as well, but it appears the seal is already right at the edge of the opening. Looking at the slide with it in, it appears the slide is actually down about 1/2 inch as the lower skirt where it curves under the side is down from the lower edge of the side by about 3/4". The slide has a through the frame slide mechanism that does not appear to be adjustable up and down and even if it did would that not move the slide up from the seal that seals the bottom of the slide?
