For the women...

Have any gals out there taken off the valances, and side rigid 'curtains' that come with the new units.
If you have how much of a hassle besides getting the hubby's okay?

I would love to see mods or decorating projects that you women have done. I will be anxious to see answers to this question.

For the women...

If you remove them it will leave holes

We re-covered ours in our old Dutchmen - easy to remove, stretched fabric over and restapled - hung them back up

Oh yeah - DH even helped !!

Thanks! I would replace with curtains of some kind. I like to really button my trailers/campers up at night. Room darkening etc.
Our new one is on order and I can't wait to get to it!

Valances come off easy and we used a furniture wax stick close to wall color and filled holes. Did not like valances, we also replaced our day night shades with 2" blinds, love em!

We ordered the shades...had blinds in the last travel trailer and hated them...what's up with the shades? Although we were told it was the no.1 repair on all their travel trailers. Ugh.

I have a Forester and just checked on the price to put day/night shades on the small windows in the bed over the cab. It would cost $97.00 per little window plus $13.00 shipping and they would be non-returnable. I decided I really liked what was already there.
