Here is a picture of the fix. The the metal gusset and faceplate. The faceplate is 1/4 steelon the outside of the 6" frame rail did this on both sides of the trailer. This is where the Aframe is stack on the frame rail.

From what I could tell from the pic, looks like the cracks were filled in and painted over. That won't solve the problem. Something caused those cracks and if he doesn't find the root of the problem, he will soon have a bigger problem.
Just my 2$.
I'm interested because I have a 2012 VLite. Guess we'll never know, huh?

That will likely fix the current situation but you still need to find the root cause if the incident. Fixing it is great but if II don't figure out what caused it it will happen again in a different area of the frame.
I suggest taking the unit to the weigh scales and get a weight of you tow vehicle wi and with out the trailer. Take note of all the individual axel weights. Your tow vehicle weight with out the trailer is important to show that you have the proper tongue weight. On any "Lite" trailer proper weight and ballance is important. You also want to ensure that you so not exceed your recommended GVW of the trailer.

the frame
the 6" beam has a 1/4" thick steel plate welded over the crack. the plate is 6X18.

The 2014 has an 8" beam and the factory lists the payload about 1835 lbs and a tongue weight of about 900 lbs. do you know what they have for specs on the yours?

I think the question is: Were the cracks welded up on both sides or were the plates just added?

All the cracks where welded and then the plate put over the the top of the cracks. The plate was then welded in place.

Did you take your unit across the weigh scales and get an accurate weight and balance? Your problem looks more like a loading issue rather than a warrantee issue.

I am interested in what you got for weights on your tow vehicle empty front and rear axel, and loaded with the trailer fully loaded. And the trailer axels loaded,

The mileage is one thing but weight on the tongue is a big factor. I would like to find out what the tongue weight was and compare to how I load my own and also how others load theirs. Since you shared your pictures I have been checking my frame as a precaution. It's a good item to check before and after each trip.
