Free hitch?

I've been thinking of ordering a 8528rkws and noticed in the brochure for 2012 that they list a Reese Revolution hitch as standard equipment. If this is true, are they supplying the hitch to the dealer or just giving the dealer credit. The dealer I talked to didn't even know that was in there. How do I know that I'm not being charged twice for a hitch?
Has anyone come up against this yet?

Are you sure that you're not referring to the Reese Revolution pin box? That's what's standard on the Rockwood/Flagstaff 5th wheels. You'll still need a 5th wheel hitch in your truck bed.

You are absolutely correct Dave. I just looked it up. It allows for pulling a fifth wheel with as small as a six foot box and you can make a turn at more than 90 degrees. No slider.
It was just a little confusing that they called it a "hitch", but I guess technically it is the other half of the hitch.

Is that Reese Revolution similar to a Sidewinder?

I have a sidewinder and it is not fitted, (long story of dealer screw up), I have a short box with a slider. In over 30 campsites I have only ever used the slider once and even then I shouldn't have bothered.

I thought the sidewinder was a wonderful must have when I bought the RV, not so.

Its for sale if any one wants it.

The Reese Revolution is a pin box, not a hitch. The Sidewinder and Revolution work on the same principle. The Sidewinder is an after market add on, and the Revolution is factory installed in the build process.

I have the Revolution on mine, and love it. Never think a thing about turning as sharp as I want with the SB truck.

Mine has the reese revolution on it as well but bought it last fall and still haven't used it. Can't wait until May rolls around and I flnally get to use it.
