Fridge cooling improvement

I assembled a fan assembly about a six months ago and installed it above the fridge compartment just below the roof exhaust hood. I can’t believe how much faster and colder the fridge gets after installing it. I can actually keep ice cream it as well as ice.
My assembly consisted of two 140mm fans and an bimetal temp control switch set to close at 45 degrees Celsius, 113 degrees Fahrenheit.
My build cost $61. You can find a unit with two 120mm fans already assembled for about $50 on line with no assembly requirements. My point is that this mod is well worth the money.

Problem with my fridge is that it's too cold. No auxiliary fans or such, just freezes the milk regardless of where I set the temp adjustment "bulb".

I must have some extraordinary circulation in my refrigerator "stack".

you need to replace the bulb. Search "snip the tip". Very easy to do. That was my first RV repair I learned here 4 years ago.

When you said "snip the tip" my first thought was that I would need to secure the services of a mohel ( rhymes with “boil”) then I realized you didn't mean "circumcise it"

FWIW, I rarely ever replace things like the thermistor by removing the entire wire, etc. I cut wires and splice using solder and shrink wrap. Beats having to snake wires in, out, and around, especially when they have to be resealed.

MANY decades ago we had a 10' truck camper with a 3 way fridge, anytime ambient was over 90 the fridge was terrible. I found a kit that included a built in thermostat and switch to arm it. I mounted the switch under the fridge and the fans up under the roof vent, made a HUGE difference, plus one of those battery fridge fans inside.
