If it's not been built yet, then definitely.

We ordered our 2012 Windjammer on March 29th, 2011. Was told to expect delivery in 8 weeks, and it was actually delivered on May 31st, 2011 (exactly 9 weeks to the day that the order was placed). We received our VIN# on May 14th, only 17 days before the trailer was delivered.

So can I assume that if there is no vin then there is no trailer? And if I get a 2013 will there be any changes in the new model year that I may or may not like ? And if my dealer should know? And can they do this without notifying me? Don't get me wrong I really don't care one way or another . I just think there should be a little open communication between the factory and the dealer and the customer.

From what I've seen, the change in model year is a non event. They tend to make the big changes later in the year...July/August. They will make subtle changes it seems, whenever the mood strikes them.

When we were researching before buying our current camper, there were 3, distinctive versions of the same model called 2010 production...early model year (Mar - July, same as previous year), mid year (Jul - Oct), late production (Oct - Feb). We had the dealer check with Rockwood whether any changes were planned when we placed the order...there weren't any.

They have a disclaimer on the order form which says "the customer agrees to accept final product regardless of minor modifications to layout, specs, colors or option types within reason while in production".

At the time of the purchase, we asked a lot of questions based on our research, to fully understand what we were getting.

The good part is that you're getting 2013 instead of a 2012...helps with the resale value down the road.

I think that factory rotates every 2 weeks. I believe it's the same one where our Roo is being made. When I talked to the sales rep about tours he mentioned something about it switching every 2 weeks. We ordered our Roo the same time and you and we haven't heard anything yet either. Are you sure you are getting a 2012? I was told they switch over sometime in March, which is why ours is a 2013.

We ordered on 2/24/12 and the contract says a 2012 . But based on what I am hearing from everybody if its not built yet it must be a 2012? Because I still don't have a vin no. my dealer is clueless. They act like I am bothering them .They keep saying when they get a vin they will call me. Seems like they should know or at least give them a call to find out.Wish I had a number I would call. They didn't have a problem calling when I was ordering it.I hope this isn,t a sign of whats to come?
