I have the same rig. A 2016 with 5k of mileage. That is what I have been seeing.

My understanding is that after 10k, I should see an improvement. I hope.

What is the age of your TV?

I have a 2016 F250 Crew Cab (4 door) with 6.2 & 3.73. Pulling my 10,500 TT at 75 MPH I get around 6.5 MPG. My truck has 5,000 miles.

Keeping my speed between 60 and 65, the mileage goes up about 1.

Mine is a 2016 f250. Just turned 10K miles. Trailer is a 25 WB work and play toy hauler. Dry 6600. I have a golf cart and loaded for travel weighs 8,400. 5th gear on the flats in manual at 65 with cruise on gets me almost 8 from time to time.

I have the same TV with the Super Cab. I am towing around 7k+-, nothing like the mountain you have. Never traveled in the 70+mph range. Still learning this truck.

F 250 Diesel pulling 9,500 lbs. with a GCWR of 19,000 lbs. and getting 10 to 11 mpg. The lowest I have seen is 9.5 in the mountains of WV and PA. The truck only has 5K miles and mileage should improve with more use. If I am towing level ground and stay around 65 mph I have seen over 12. Heading out next week to southern Georgia and it will be interesting to see what my mileage will be when I get out of the mountains of I81 and I77.

Fuel cost to tow.

I suspect some vehicles are way worse/better than others.
Agreed. We tow a 19' Gulfstream with a 2011 F150 5l V8, w/factory tow package. Normal no tow economy is 12l/100 Km. (23.8 Imp or 19.8 US mpg.). In tow/haul, with Cruise Control, not exceeding 100 kmh (63mph), it will vary from 16 at best to 21 at worst. So our penalties run from 33% to 75%. In July this year we toured the Gaspé Peninsula, a winding, hilly route with many speed variations due to tight curves and slowing for built up areas. In most cases we hovered around 18l/100km. So on a 500 Km (300 mile) day, it only cost about $30.00 to tow the trailer. Add that to the $40.00 or so for a campsite, and it compares very well with the cost of a motel room.

I stopped tracking my MPG. I can tow 2 1/2 hours on half a tank of gas and it costs me about $50 to fill up at that point. I know my range is less than 4 hours on a tank.

It costs me $20/hr in fuel cost to tow....a different spin!

" lie o meter, good one my LOM generally is in the 7.5 range , I try not to go over 62 mph with the Chinese C tires. I probably watch the Trans temp and how much fuel used to gauge when to stop to refuel
