Grease for Fifth wheel hitch and pin box?
What do you use for lubricant? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Good question. For the others...I have the nylon disc, do I need to use some sort of lube with that also?

No, the discs are designed to be used 'dry'
The material has lubricity built into it.

I use the plastic disk on the 5er hitch so no greese is needed there. As far as the Fifth wheel hitch itself. I think as long as you keep it lightly greased it will be fine. I take the head off and clean all the old Greece and dirt off each season and lightly regreese.

Honestly with the Nylon disk I never noticed a need to use the grease. Fluid Film would be good also. I've used that stuff on my shovels and snow blower and the underside of my old F250.

I use the nylon disc as well ... the main purpose of the disk is to get away from lubing the pin plate and hitch head surface, so like mentioned earlier there is no need to lube it. I do use lithium grease on the moving parts in the hitch head itself.

I use the nylon disc also and so I do not grease the 5th wheel disk. Just make sure the hitch disk and the 5th wheel disk is clean prior to hooking up. On long pulls I do put a dab of grease on the King Pin also. I have pulled without the King Pin being greased also and had no problems. But my old dad told me if it is metal to metal it needs to be lubricated.

It will... but wouldn't be my first choice as it tends to wash off easily.

Not sure what you are asking?
We've given suggestions.
Heck, even Vaseline will work if you are diligent about keeping it clean and lubricated.
