Help with water system

I am trying to test my water lines before my first trip. I never had a newer system wondering if I could get some help. The open and close valve that is by the water pump what position should they be in? My lo point drain has no caps on them? Is that normal? One position of the valve on the hot water line just pours out of the low point drain. I am confused and have no owners manual.

My unit is not like yours - and maybe yours is better. I have caps on my blue and red low point drains --- so I have to crawl under the center of my trailer to remove/replace caps. It appears you have valves on yours so you can open/close them without crawling.

Regarding "The open and close valve that is by the water pump what position should they be in?": I can't see your pump so I'm not sure to which valve(s) you are referring.

Don't need caps since your low point drains have the white valves.
I have the same valves on mine and no caps.

When the valve handle is inline (parallel) to the water lines they are open. When the valves are cross wise (perpendicular) to the lines the valves are closed. Hope that helps.

Close those valves in your pic. They are open. That should solve your problem.

Next post, tell us what model and year TT you have. That will help you if someone with the same model/year can chime in.

As has been mentioned, the valves in your first photo are for your low point drains and they are in the open position in the photo. You would have them open to drain the water system for winterization. During normal use they need to be closed or the water will pour out just like you said.

As for the pump valve, we can't see that in any of the photos so we are only speculating.
Typically if there is a valve near the pump, it is used to select between having the pump draw from the fresh water tank or the antifreeze inlet. Also 'typically' if the handle of that valve is parallel with the line going into the pump, it is drawing water from the fresh water tank. I say 'typically' because not all units have an antifreeze inlet and some units have the capability to fill the fresh water tank when connected to city water so I don't want to say for sure.

As mentioned, including year, make model and lots of pictures take most of the guesswork out of our answers.
