How do you peruse the forum?

I was wondering how some folks navigate here on FRF.

I use my laptop and on the desktop I have a shortcut to the forum. I click on that and after it opens, I click on NEW POSTS located under the search box. This pulls up the latest threads and I scroll down the list of threads that draw my interest. After I get to the last new thread I haven't seen, a sentence in a box tells me that there are no new threads to view. Of course, I get emails alerting me to replies to threads I have participated in, I click on the link on the email and it leads me to the newest reply I haven't seen.

FRF is addicting.
The only way I can somewhat get away from it is by going camping. Which is only 3-4 times a year, lately. Even then, I can read some posts but can't reply. I have 1 of those flip phones. If I had 1 of those "dumbphones" I might be in business. I'm fighting against it.

So how do you enjoy FRF?

I check my IPad In Box first and read any FRF messages there. Then I short cut to FRF and peruse the Recent Discussions column for messages there and go from there.

I click the "Quick Links" tab on right side of the top green line. It opens menu to main things like subscribed threads, private messages and today's posts.
I'm usually on android tho.

I have a browser favorite set to
"http://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/search.php?do=getnew". If I'm in a new tab, I can click this favorite and get the list of newest posts.
If I've already been looking down this new post list, I can refresh it by clicking the favorite OR by clicking New Posts (as has been mentioned).

I do the same way you do except that I turned off the e-mail notifications. I click "Quick Links" and "Your posts" to see what I have replied to or a thread I started myself. Also, if I get a private message, a notification appears right above "Quick Links" so I don't need to get an e-mail about that. My inbox was getting filled up with information that I didn't really need.

Thanks for this tip - I had been using other slower means to check on things!

I use my laptop to read and post on the forum. I also have an I Phone with the FRF app that dings when someone posts on sites I've posted on and I can reply on that app. I also get updates by e mail. When I'm at the cottage (like now) we have internet with WIFI with a WIFI booster in my 5er for better reception. The booster also helps when we camp at CGs with WIFI. Am I BAD.
ps. The WIFI booster also helps me when I want HBOtoGO for movies.

Doh... forgot to mention that I use Tapatalk on my iPhone when I'm away from my laptop. I have the FRF iPhone app but I like Tapatalk better.

Now and then, I start Safari on my iPhone and bring up the forum as a browser page.
