In 2 weeks we're picking up our new 831BHDS

Woo Hoo!

So, can I get tips/pointers on what to check for in the demo?

The dealership is over 150 miles away from my house, so I think it's best to make sure everything works, but are there known 'bugs'?

Go to the 'Library' above and download a PDI checklist for starters.

You should plan on staying at a camp ground closing the dealer for the weekend. Should any issues arise over the weekend, your close enough to take care of it. There should be a link on one of these topics for the walk through of your camper. Print it out and follow it. Also read a bunch of messages from other owners (keep n open mind) as to what they found and did about it. Good luck.

Congratulations on the new RV. My suggestion would be since you live so far away, see if they will put you up in a camp ground close by for a night or two to make sure everything works and that you are a happy camper

Picked her up yesterday and all went well!

Pulls with no issue with my TV

One thing I forgot to ask, how do you put the slides in manually and the awnings?

Have a look by the entry step and outside kitchen for two grommet where the manual handle will fit. You should have a manual handle usually in the couch drawer. For your awnings you should have instruction sheets for them.

If same as mine the cranks should be in the front storage compartment brackets on wall. I have 2011 no issues to date (knock on wood). Did a few mods pantry draw are now slides, under queen bed put plywood down for more storage, and this way draws below are not interfered with.

..and if you find the grommets, but don't see anything to slide the wrench on, look to the left and right inside the hole the grommet(s) are in. You'll need a flashlight.
On the V-Lite 26WFKSS we looked at at the dealers, the aft hole was off by about 2 inches. That would be a surprise in an emergency.

Okay I did a complete demo video when I picked up the camper. (I will post this soon)

What I didnt get out of it:

1. Where is the water filter?
2. The city water connection is the 'top port' in the rear [its not labeled]

1. my 2011 water filter is in rear bunk house. right to the back bottom left there is a panel screws need to be removed and it is behind that. this may help on the exterior of this location is my outside shower
2. Yes it is for my 2011. that should be same as the water filter most likely is on the interior of the water connection,
I will try and post some pictures to help if no else can, I will have my trailer out of storage this week for sure. Hope this helps

Did you ever find the manual cranks for the slides? Happy camping.
