The Camco filter I use attaches to my city water inlet on the side of my trailer with a spring reinforced piece of hose so the weight of the filter doesn't kink the hose. The pressure regulator connects to the other end where you connect the hose at the source.

Regulator goes upstream of anything you want to protect. I put mine at the spigot thereby protecting all my equipment.

I use Camco filter and it works great, but my TT also has a filter, so the water in my camper is awesome.

Me too, but I also have a Brita pitcher for water we drink. The water is excellent wherever we camp.

Is that a off the shelf unit and is it for use externally? I like the idea of keeping it outside and since it is permanent it would be one less thing I have to mess with when setting up.
