insecure rear door

We have a 2011 microlite 25DS. Frequently the rear door comes open while driving, even with the deadbolt [I]and[I] door lock set. Is this a common problem? Is there a fix for it? Is it because of flexing in the light-weight frame and body? (Regarding the latter, this occurs on interstates as well as secondary roads).

Other than this, we love the trailer Just right for the two of us plus two +80 lb dogs. And fly gear!

Sounds like possibly the throw on the latch mechanism, or the receiver plate is out of adjustment? Mine holds secure.

Has to be the latch and deadbolt not meshing correctly. Make sure you set it and watch how it closes from inside and out. Use an old lipstick (your DW/GF will hate it when you use the "good one") aon the deadbolt. It will mark where and how it hits the latch. Adjust from there. Also make sure all the mounting screws are tight.

Good suggestions

No, I haven't physically checket the alignment -- Duh! I'll do that. And we've been happily married 42 years now, one reason being I don't use my wife's makeup for anything - not even in my fly tying!

Thanks guys.
