Sorry to hear of your wife injury. After 7 or 8 feet & ankles surgeries and having a good deal of metal inserted I can relate to things other people usually can't see or understand.
My brother's FW had a two-step to the bedroom area and it was steep with small stepping area. I almost fell exiting another trailer (Not a FR trailer) while window shopping because of the large drop from one step to the next.
I am glad that you are able to have the steps rebuilt. I wouldn't mind seeing more designs thought out better. It wouldn't hurt writing to FR to inform them of your concern and how you are fixing it so that it doesn't happen again.
I can't say I see it as a
manufacture defect but I don't like the design. With my feet & ankles history believe me that I took a lot of things into consideration when selecting my trailer.
How is your wife doing since the accident?
Take care,
T.
