IRV radio/DVD player

Does anyone have this radio that works properly? The volume has to be very loud for it to work, DVDs play at the wrong speed, etc.

Maybe I'm the only one that has this radio. If there are others that have the IRV radio and it worked ok I would like to hear from you. Looking for help. Thanks.

I have the iRV33 and it works fine except that the input for the external IR sensor won't work. It did have a software glitch that froze it up and I had to kill power to it and reset it. Is your camper not still under warranty? If it is, you should be able to get it replaced.

Thanks. Yes, it's still under warranty. I ordered it in January and I just picked it up. But on the Tech talk forum there are several people complaining about the IRV radio. I just thought it maybe nobody had one that worked. I think mine is the IRV 66.

We purchased a brand new Rockwood. First trip out, could not get the level lower that a #6. The DVD does not work properly, and the sound cuts in and out. Contacted FunTown for RV Warranty. We've been waiting a month, and it's still not fixed.

I also have to IRV33 and part of it works and part of it doesn't. I plan on getting to a dealer somewhere and getting it replaced. I have not tried the reset yet.

Apparently lots of people are having issues with these radios. Long thread over on the Rockwood subforum, some are having success with replacement units, others are not:

We just picked up our Rockwood 2819VS with the IRV 66 last week and the volume is to loud at the lowest setting, going to contact are dealer

Call Todd Eash 574-970-8287 directly at Patrick Industries and explain your issue with the radio. He will most likely ship you a new one the next day. They have had manufacturing problems with both the IRV33 and IRV66 units. I tried to get my dealer to do make the call, but I finally had to do it myself.

IRV Radio

Hi Robert, thank you for the report and I will call Todd. Maybe I can get the issue with the IRV unit resolved. I will let you know how I do. I have a couple other issues with my VLite and hopefully will get those resolved. I just completed a 1500 mile trip from Yuma, AZ to Wallace, NE and there are some very good things about the VLite and I also have found a few things that probably would have stopped my purchase If I would have known about them. Such is life.

IRV 66 Power problem

We just purchased a Puma Unleashed a week ago but now the IRV 66 has no power I checked the fuse and its good, not sure where else it gets power from, any ideas on what the problem could be everything else power wise is working fine

Mine seems to work fine. I say "seems" because we've only had it long enough to take two trips, 8 nights total. The only issue I've seen is that sometimes on Bluetooth from my phone the music occasionally speeds up for a second or two. DVDs play fine, volume is fine.
