My front landing gears on my 2009 8524 rls fifth wheel are out of adjustment.
One side is lower than the other. How can i readjust them to the same hight??

I've had to readjust mine due to a sheared bolt on one side of the landing gear mechanism. I assume yours is an electric motor set up like mine. You need to be hooked to the tow vehicle to provide support while doing it. The way I did it was to remove the bolt from one side of the shaft via the front compartment. For me it was easiest to remove the bolt on the passenger/camp side of the unit since the motor was not in the way. I then ran the other leg in or out as needed to even up, measuring to make sure it was as close as possible. I then reinserted the bolt and tighten it back up. They are within about 1/8th of an inch now. Hope that helps.

During a pull test, I managed to drag one of the landing gears, actually pulling out the locking pin of the foot. The result is I cannot use the landing gear foot.

My question is, can I cut off about 2" of the landing gear shaft so the foot can again be installed into the holes?

Can I replace the sliding square part that manually lowers?

By the way, I have a 5th Wheel Leg Leveler which works great.

See it here. It is available in many RV stores.
