Leveling/Stabilization

What set up should we get to make leveling/stabilizing our new Flagstaff MicroLite-21FBRS? Is there something that does both?

Short of an automatic leveling system like the Lippert LevelUp, you need 2 different products for leveling vs. stabilization.

Leveling is done by raising one side of the camper by putting something under the wheels:

For stabilization we use BAL X-Chocks, trailer is rock solid when they are on. For leveling I go with two boards, one 2 inches and the other is 1 inch, cheap and simple.

I believe andersen makes them, but there are levelers that are shaped like teardrops.. put them under the low side and the further you pull forward, the higher it goes. X chocks work great for stabilizing.. and there is also a device i used to use called levelmatepro.. those things made leveling a 2 minute process

Camco now makes them as well for those of us with tires closer together. We’ve had both and both are good. Used with the LevelMate Pro and leveling is a breeze.

Our 35 year way of doing things.........

Cheapest way for leveling use 2x8s under the tires. For stabilizing, the stabilizing jacks usually are on the trailer from the factory (not always)................ then add X chocks or similar (dual axles). I am still planning on a JT strong arm attachment or similar for stabilizing as well. Would like to get them and install them this fall.

I've used both the camco levaling blocks, that are similar to the Lynx levelers, and I now use the andersen leveling kit and regular wheel chocks along with my stabilizer jacks to stabilize. I should have ponied up for the andersen kit a long time ago. Not cheap but man does it make leveling a breeze...

Don't think so.

When we started out, we leveled with boards. Now we use the Lynx leveling blocks with the Lynx chocks that allow one person to handle the MH. Their chocks will stop the vehicle when it contacts them. No more 'falling off' the levelers.

As recommended, the xchocks will help the back and forth motion of the trailer when you're camped. Nothing works perfectly because you're on wheels.

Looks like a great rig.
