Love our Flagstaff 5th wheel
I am writing this because I am so happy that our new 5th wheel has been such a wonderful surprise.
Background: We looked around for "just the right one" for months. We narrowed it down to a Rockwood or Flagstaff because those seemed to fit our needs....big, but not too big or heavy! We wanted to be comfortable camping with our kids and grandkids, but not feel like it was a waste of space when it was just us. Also, being our first 5th wheel, we didn't want something that we dreaded towing all day on long trips or up and down mountains.
We looked at a few models around our area but no one had the model we wanted at a price we wanted to pay. So, since we would save about $7,000 over a local price we ordered and waited! We drove 900 miles to pick up the trailer (which we had never seen!). It was scary.
Anyway, we are pleased with our purchase and with the quality of the trailer. Maybe because we went from a tent, to a pop-up, to a hybrid, to a travel trailer, we are just WOWed by the roominess. Or, maybe since we have owned Jayco, Coleman, KZ and Crossroads products we have experienced a LOT of different manufacturers and know that they all have issues. Or, maybe since we have never had a "top of the line, really expensive" trailer we don't know about that kind of luxury.
Anyway, we know things will arise that need to be fixed or replaced, but we hope to not let that ruin our trips in our new 5th wheel. We are looking forward to many years of great adventures with family and friends!

Always good to hear from someone excited about their new toy. Congratulations!! Your enthusiasm is refreshing. Too many times we choose to let less than perfect products or services effluence our attitude. We are all blessed to enjoy such a wonderful time of life. Many happy miles and big smiles!

Congrats on your new purchase! Looking at your profile it looks like we live in the same area. Do you mind if I ask who you ordered your trailer through? Would love to know so when I upgrade again in a few years I can keep them in mind.

We are in love with our Flagstaff too. Easy to tow, lots of room, and very few problems. What problems that we have had were either fixed by the dealer or at the FROG Rally. What model do you have? Ours is a 2015 8528IKWS. We winter in Texas and Louisiana. In the Hill Country & at Rockport.

Congrats on your purchase!
So glad to hear of your positive experience.
We ordered our 2016 Flagstaff 8529IKBS several weeks ago and are excitedly awaiting its arrival. We are hoping to share in your enthusiasm when it comes in!

We have the Flagstaff 8528TBWS. We couldn't find one to look at anywhere near us, so we ordered "sight unseen". It was the only trailer we could find that fit all our wants: U-dinette, decent tank capacities, not too heavy, lots and lots of storage, outside kitchen, full-size walk around queen bed, nice bathroom, and a bunk room that wasn't too huge.
It is just the right one for us. Good Luck with your trailer. Hope you are as pleased as we are!

Have 8528RKWS 2016. Indy to Reno so far. First 5th love towing no concern when trucks pass on I-80. Wind did slow me down. Would not travel as far if towing TT. Day ahead of plan.

We looked at the 8529IKBS while we were at the FROG Rally in Goshen. A little to heavy to tow with a 1/2 ton. Like the floor plan though. As always with any trailer there were things that I would like different. Let us all know when you get it and how well you like it. We plan to keep our 2015 8528IKWS for several years.

We are in our second year of ownership of our Flagstaff 5th wheel and we still love it. In fact we are going to hit our favorite local campground tomorrow. Next weekend, a state park close by. Three weeks from now, we'll spend a week in NE Missouri. Love our Flagstaff indeed!

Glad to see everyone being so positive. DW and I pick up our new 2016 Flagstaff 8528 IKWS tomorrow. We get the PDI at 9:00 am and then the dealer has us staying down the road at a real nice KOA for 2 nights to get acclimated with it. This is our first ever and we are very excited but a little nervous. People tell us that in no time it will be a piece of cake to maneuver. I love this website and all the good pointers that are offered. Keep them coming.

Good to hear a dealer getting you to stay at a cg and getting to know your rig. Should work the bugs out. You wil get the hang of the unit in no time Enjoy Later RJD

Good luck with the new trailer. We really like ours. Very few complaints.
