Magic Chef Microwave MCG992ARS

Looks like the warranty work/replacement for the microwave in our new micro lite 21ds trailer may be a bit tougher than anticipated as Magic Chef no longer makes this particular microwave.

Anyone run into this issue. If so, what brand/model of microwave did you replace it with?

Watching! Mine hasn’t failed yet, but the performance is mediocre at best.

We'll, I ended up purchasing a microwave from etrailer. Looks like the dimensions are the same as my Magic Chef. Will see once it arrives next week.

Did you go with the same spec’s from etrailer? They have a convection oven with similar dimensions that looks pretty inviting.

I went with a standard .9 cu ft microwave made by Grey Stone. It cost about $200 shipped. The reason I went with it was because its almost identical to the Magic Chef as it has the same fresh air draw from bottom and hot exhaust through the top. I'll update once I receive and install it.

Alrighty then, here's the update to replacing our Magic Chef microwave:

1. The new Greystone (model P90D23AP-X3-FR03) from retailer.com is an exact match. Even the new trim kit lined-up with the old trim kit holes.

2.Magic Chef is refunding me $179.00 for their defective microwave.

Hopes this helps anyone in a similar situation. Click image for larger version

Sorry for the spelling error. I meant etrailer.com, not retailer.com

The new microwave was a little under $200 shipped. So, roughly $20 out-of-pocket. It certainly looks better and, most importantly, it works!
