We should all remind ourselves that the more strain on a motor the greater the current draw and the greater the current draw the more likey the fuse will do its job ...

I make sure that we don't keep the finger on the switch after the slides have just touched the wall and now I don't bring my stabilizers up hard against the frame when retracting.

I like my slides tight agains the wall but I do I just barely touch the top when retracting the stab jacks.

Out again last week, blew another fuse retracting the slide on my 21 fbrs. That's two in 6 retractions...if you're counting!

If a fuse is blowing repeatedly there is probably a reason other than the motor straining. Possibly worn insulation that causes a short somewhere.

Before I installed a brace under the slide motor on our 21FBRS it would rock up and down about 2". With the slide pulled in the motor would rotate down onto the blue/cold water line, and probably gone to the floor if the line didn't block it. With the slide extended the motor rotated up about 2-3/4" above the floor.
That is the height of the brace I installed.

Thanks to lswartz and others for pointing out the problem/solution.
