Thankfully, a good floor and a good towel - very upset!
What happened, is this a leveling problem? The drain is not plugged and the gray water filled up quickly - 3 days - full and drained properly.
The problem I had was similar and it's not the curtain. When leveled improperly, the water runs down the wall and along the top of the shower basin and out onto the floor. I put caulk on the top of the shower basin channeling the water back into the basin. Just two angled lines of caulk
on the top of the basin at the end where the shower wall stops. Problem solved.
