MicroLites and Mice!!!

We just bought a Flagstaff MicroLite 25BDS and wondering how well sealed on the bottom to deter mice infestation. We've had problems in the past despite taking precautions. While no camper is totally mouse-proof, I'm looking for input from MicroLite owners on their mice or mice-free experiences.

Have you tried using dryer sheets?

Yes. I've had mice problems in past travel trailers, so I want to be better prepared this time around.

Dryer sheets and all those "folk remedies" don't cut it. The only real way is to get right under your trailer and plug every little hole with steel or brass wool and spray foam. It's much easier if you have a covered underbelly as that cuts down on the openings and it's easier to deal with.

In addition to filling as many holes as you can, take 2 or 3 old coffee mugs or glasses and put 2-3 cotton balls in each. The add 3-4 drops of essential oil of peppermint on the cotton balls. You need essential oil not food grade flavoring. Be careful not to spill it on furniture or floors. You will need to replenish oil ever 30-45 days. Been using this for 10 years. It also deters spiders.
