Need pictures of countertop extension

I ordered the countertop extension for my 25BHS but it wasn't with the trailer when I purchased it. The factory mailed it to me and when I called the dealer for instructions they weren't particularly forthcoming with details on how to install but did mention shims (I'm traveling in another state).

The extension is large, so instead of the folding type brackets it has L brackets that slide into holders on the cabinet and a support leg that extends.

I know it's asking a big favor, but if someone with this type of counter extension could take pictures of both the top and bottom so I could see how it's supposed to be installed I would very much appreciate it. Either post them here or message me for an email address.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Thank you fonzie -- those pics do help but I need to see the underside of it.

The dealer tore the camper apart looking for it because they couldn't believe it didn't ship, but the extension was definitely MIA.

Now I just need to find out why the picture for my profile didn't update

I should clarify -- I received the extension piece, the L brackets, and the leg all as pieces. I need to know where to install the brackets and the leg on the extension. I didn't know if the dealer meant shims under the L brackets or what.

I don't have pictures of the underside, but it has two "L" shape bracket that fits into the brackets of the counter, then you extend the leg and lock it into position.

The female brackets need to be far enough down so you can tilt the extension enough to angle it in. Notice the gap and height difference between the counter top and the extension. Once angled into place you can fold the leg down and extend it to the proper length allowing a level surface.

Here is a post with pics about modifying it with tilting brackets s it can be left in place on a windjammer.

We did the same thing, we installed folding brackets so you didn't have to find the thing, and then put it up. Just pull up and you're done. We did keep the extending leg for extra support while cutting on it.

Thank you! Devilscreekw and Fonzie the pictures are exactly what I needed so I'm going to install the thing tomorrow. I need more counter space when I'm cooking.

I would love to do the folding brackets but my only two drawers are below where the extension attaches and I'm in and out of those all the time.

I'll post pictures when I get it done.

Thanks to all of you who helped me out. I love there's a place to get help with my new trailer.

Table Extension option?

Just a suggestion that worked for us.......On our 2014 F/R Flagstaff Emerald 27rlws I actually removed those brackets and installed 3 1/2 brass hinges so it folds down on the end of the counter. Seems to work great...... got tired of finding a place to store it as we have the dining table and chair option and our storage is limited in my opinion.

We put screw on legs on ours, that way I can put it where I want it.
Hard to get in drawers for us.

Thank you again!

It ended up being a whole afternoon install because I found my top kitchen drawer was not connected to the cabinet in the back (so it was falling down when opened) and then took down another little partition and found the duct for the furnace laying on the floor next to the furnace and completely not connected. It was kind of shocking in a brand new trailer so I'm going to be checking a lot more things.

Anyway -- here's my new extension. I needed more counter space so badly and I love it.

Nice job...can see why you wanted it, as you don't have that much counter space. We hardly use ours as our trailer has a huge kitchen and counter.
