i have a 21' flagstaff and need a little extra storage. i was thinking, since we always cap at places with water access, that i would swap my fresh water tank to a smaller tank and use the leftover space for storage. i am thinking a 7 or 9 gallon tank. doimg this would add a 22" x 17" x 36" area for storage. any reason not to do this?
I don't have a direct answer to your question but a few things to come to mind:
* Can't see this mod as a strong selling point down the road
* Smaller tank size seems very limited to me but I could be wrong
* Have you read many posts about mods other members have done? There's a great one labeled Pimp my... or something like that. Several members found available space hidden throughout their trailers.

if you don't plan on selling it, then go right ahead.
but this kind of mod, is not good for re-selling or for a trade-in.
just cause it makes sense to you, doesn't mean it would to the average buyer.
we hardly ever camp with hookups, so a large FW is a must.
