I ran factory Carlisle tires that came on the trailer since July 2008. And that's a bit long, not recommended.
Replaced them this summer with 225/75 15 load range E rated Duro tires. I do recommend what ever brand you get, get E rated trailer tires. The ride will be a bit harsh, they tend to 'bounce' a bit, but you will have no trouble with them. I don't think there is that much difference in quality between brands of trailer tires.
Having said that, I have Michelin E rated tires on the truck as well. 70 psi towing, 60 daily driving. And I have learned not to run anything but Michelin on the truck on account of ride quality. Other tires last as long, problem free, but the ride is not as good.
