New 23LB Owner

Hi everyone!
The wife and I have recently retired and purchased a 2015 Flagstaff 23LB. Our plan is to finally get to travel through this great country we live in and will be starting our adventure in May of 2015. Until then, we will be making shorter, closer trips to learn the ins and out of our new lifestyle.

We have a popup and used it for weekend trips but felt a TT would be more enjoyable and easier to setup.

We pick up our trailer tuesday next week. We are very excited and can't wait to hit the road.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum. Many nice state parks to camp at in that great state you live in.

Congratulations on your new lifestyle and trailer. We have a Rockwood 2306 which is a twin to yours. We love it. Does yours have the Murphy bed?

Yes, we have the Murphy bed as well. Already got fingers pinched putting it down. Lesson learned!

WELCOME!

We also moved up from a popup to our current 23LB. The wife and I are still working but try to use it (In season) when ever we can. I think it is almost the perfect layout for a smaller trailer with all the needed options someone my age needs (51). What are you using to pull it with?

You should be able to find a lot of help to your questions on this site, I know I have. Good luck.

I'm using an 08 ram 1500. My towing cap is 7300, trailer is only 3900 so I figure I'll be ok. How does it tow? Do I need swaybars?

One of the nice things about Florida is that it's always in season.

It's a light trailer and would be subject to some sway as you pass the big guys. With a good sway system you would notice a huge difference. I would seriously consider purchasing one.
