We have a 2000 GMC Sierra. I have the tow package however I will feel more comfortable moving up to a 2500HD (scheduled for Oct or Nov of 2011).

The Sierra does the job and is well within it's capacity, but the truck is old (won't get rid of it though) and a newer TV is needed. I am having the transmission rebuilt next week. On board computer indicated a transmission component slip, so before we get left on the side of the road some where we will get this done. 148,000 miles and I have only owned it for the last 20,000 miles. Bought for around town and to go hunting, never thought we would be towing a TT when I bought it. The DW drives a 2002 Jeep Liberty 4x4. I wouldn't even try to move the TT with that even in the yard!

We really enjoy our 26RLS.

I think it's the ZX700 in our unit. No troubles. Works just fine. Like it a lot.

Welcome,

We pull ours with the truck in my signature......2006 Toyota D/C, 4.7, W/ TOW PACKAGE. It does fine here in the flat lands of Florida / Ga.

I don't think I would feel comfortable with the mountains in the N.C / Tenn area with this set up. We stay at C/C w/ hook-ups so I don't need to fill the water tanks and or need a generator/ firewood. We take normal camping items to include three bikes. No problems on the Interstates....we run at 62 - 65 mph comfortably.

Get a good hitch set up (Equalizer) ....take your time.....relax.....have fun !!
