New 26rlws

We have just brought home a new 26rlws, everything seems good so far. Our 2013 ecoboost pulled it home in cruise control and did not downshift on small hills.
Wondering if anyone has installed a surge protector and where to install it?

Bob

There are so many horror stories about people loosing there electrical appliances that we bought on. We bought the portable surge protection.

Used a plastic covered wire wrapped and crimped around the surge protector an a padlock to keep it from walking away.

I have a 27rlws so I am not sure if it is laid our exactly the same. I installed the Progressive Industries EMS-HW30C in my TT. On mine the intake for the furnace is directly below kitchen sink. I removed the intake vent and found the wire coming from the outside power connector to the breaker panel right in front of the furnace. I cut that wire and mounted/installed the power protector there.

Hey slympicins

Hey what a clever idea to secure your surge protector with a cable and lock, thanks!

Hey Thanks for the ideas, the portable is tempting but after 25 years of dealing with power cords on my boats I would like to minimize the connections out in the weather.

We had our boat for sale for 3 years before it sold so we attended a few RV shows when my wife saw this model she said I don 't want to look any more this is the one. I was outnumbered. Purchased at Daly RV Goldsboro NC. I was going to buy a Propride hitch but when all negotiations for the sale were finished the lady said she would include a Husky Centerline hitch so I am giving it a try. It seems to handle OK. The guy set up so the trailer is almost level nose down a hair, truck almost level tail down a hair. Only passed by a couple of big trailers that had little effect. Heading for the west at the end of the month.

Thanks Bob
