New Flagstaff Classic Superlite

It finally arrived. We are the proud owners of a 2014 Flagstaff Classic Superlite 831RESS Diamond Pkg, travel trailer. I picked it up Friday from RV Direct in Albany, New York. It sure was a cold and snowy day for mounting the weight distributing hitch brackets to the trailer. Naturally, the emergency brake controller was right where the bracket had to go. One of the dealer techs volunteered to move it for me.

I can’t say enough nice things about the people I worked with from rv direct. From sales to the walk-thru, they were great. I was more than a bit nervous about paying in full for the trailer before seeing it, but everything was as advertised. I tried to get as good a price from 2 other dealers in the area, but they both were $4500 higher than rv direct. That’s too much money to leave on the table. That buys a lot of fuel for my Chevy 2500 gas hog.

The unit was winterized, obviously in these temps, so I won’t be able to test the water system until spring. I didn’t see any pink leaking anywhere, so that’s a good sign. Pictures will come when it warms up a bit. I dragged it home to Connecticut just in time to get snowed in.

We have had excellent luck with our 831FKBSS. Hoping the same to you. You will be glad you are pulling with that 3/4 ton on those windy/windy days.

I also bought our Columbus 320rs fiver from Albany RV this past June and they were very good in preping and explaining all the operation features even though the wife and I are NOT newbies (this was RV #6) They were very competitve in the pricing so we felt we got a great deal. I would not hesitate to go there again and buy if I am ever in the market again.
