New owners of a 2013 Flagstaff MicroLite 19RK

I have a new cover and it went on fairly easy, but I am worried about the gutter downspouts breaking off...I did make sure I was careful and left some slack in the cover to allow for winds blowing the cover around...Anyone have any good ideas for downspout protectors. I was thinking pieces of a pool noodle, not sure if any of you might have a better idea.

We used a cover on our Mico lite 23LB for the first time last winter. We made a slit in 4 tennis balls and slid them onto the downspouts. We had a very snowy and windy Winter and everything worked great with the cover.
