Our Flagstaff v lite should be ready the week of May 19

Hubby got an email it should be ready the week of May 19. That is great for me i have 2 weeks off work before summer camp. If it is ready that week that would be under 6 weeks to build it. I found a list for us to take up and do the check off with. Will keep you all posted...

Congratulations, and happy camping! You'll love the V-lite! I've been looking around on the net, and other manufacturers are starting to build V nosed campers, now! They take a little getting used to, however, but we love ours.

We have the cinnamon interior, with the honey oak cabinetry, and black appliances. It looks very nice! Power tongue jack, power awning, power slideouts, auto refrigerator, auto water htr.,The only "manual" stuff is lighting the pilot on the gas stove, and even that has a built in striker feature; and the 4 manual corner jacks; but I use an 18v drill, with a cut off 3/8 extension, and a 3/4 socket for that. Works GREAT! EZ camping!
What kind of tow vehicle are you going to use? My Ram 1500 is sort of underachieving, so to speak. A 2500 series truck with the diesel engine would have been much better. BUT I have to make this truck work. A few mods and some money, and it'll be fine, I hope. Randy

Your V lite sounds like ours. We have the blue accent color with the honey oak and black applicances. Power tongue jack( hubby wanted that)regular awning. auto frige, not sure about water heater??. The ladder on the back and i am sure i am missing something. We do the same with the manual jacks hubby uses the Drill with the bit.We found the Flagstaff and Windjammer came with a lot of standard items when on other models and makes are options you have to pay for.

We tow with a 2006 Chevy truck. With a power chip. I am not sure the size of the motor. We have to use this truck and hubby knows I guess what he can pull. We will get a good feel when we pick it up in Elkhart and drive it all the way home to Texas.

If you have pictures of the rig i would like to see them..

Bet you're chompin' at the bit!

We ordered our trailer just today and we're already about to bust. It's gonna be a LONG 10 weeks for us. But Christmas don't come in July every year!

what did you order. We ordered April 11 and they said 6 weeks.

I wonder if business has slowed down and they are making the ordered Trailers, 5th or motor homes first?

Cause i have been reading other boards and most folks are getting them built in 4-6 weeks now...

Just my idea..

I want to see pictures too..

We ordered a Rockwood 8280SS 5th wheel. I know Rockwoods and Flagstaffs are build by the same people and in the same buildings, but I wonder if your trailer and mine both come from the same plant?

I beleive they build "batches" of the same type of trailer and it might be a while before a certain type comes around again. If you order at the right time you get lucky. My sales guy was pretty firm about 10 weeks, but he meant by that 10 weeks from order to pick up. A trailer could sit awhile before being shipped to the dealer. Or he could be just toeing the company line, "Give the customer a worst case senario so he's happy when he gets his trailer sooner, than later."

But if people are getting their rigs in 6 weeks (we can hope) then I better accelerate my hitch install schedule! 4 extra weeks of camping before the wife goes back to teaching would be really great!

Interesting about the batch building. So maybe we got lucky on the batch. Thanks i will do some checking on that . WE are driving up to pick it up as with the price of gas and other things it is still cheaper for us. Or my husband figured it out that way. Our wholesaler is in the area of the plant.

Keep us posted and i hope yours is built faster for you all to use it sooner.

wE got the best price from rvcapitalwholesalers. They are located near the factory.

I never heard of a wholesaler and nearly bought from a dealer down here pay a whopping higher price. I am glad i found a post on another board about wholesalers and did some research.

V-lite 30WRLS

Ours came equipped with the power awning. Also a 22 inch Venturer 12 volt digital flat screen HDTV. This TV is amazing- we live in Jacksonville Fla., and the amount of free over air channels is amazing! Also, the picture is CRYSTAL CLEAR, even with the ANTENNA DOWN!! We have an old analog TV in the house, that gets Terrible reception on rabbit ears, and about 5 channels, AT BEST. I like the power awning, even though you can't tilt it for runoff.
I saw a post where someone tied theirs tight- retracting the gas shock, pulling down on one side, and thereby tilting the awning in the rain. I'm gonna try that! I'm sending you some pics of our V-lite. Thanks, Randy

I can send you some more. We have only been camping in ours 2 weekends. One with no power or water, and one with full hookups. Our youngest son is on 3 baseball teams, and we can't get away much at this time! Be sure before picking yours up that you have a class IV load leveling hitch, with the 2 bars. Mine is the reese dual cam set up, and with this camper, YOU WILL NEED IT!! I also have the side friction brake, but I really don't think it's necessary. We bought ours at the dealer that was on his lot for only one day. He had 2 to choose from, the other one had an oliive green trim, the couch and 2 chairs were solid olive green. We liked this one better- same exact options otherwise. I learned from this forum about RV wholesalers since, and I guess I could have saved some money! But we live pretty far from the factory, so shipping would have been steep. We paid 29,995. Plus a 7 year extended warranty. We traded in a Coleman Fleetwood pop up, 2001 utah, fully loaded, and got 6500. in trade- more than we paid! Here's more pics! We do civil war reenacting, so the closet is full of that stuff! (one reason we liked the Vlite!) Randy

I spoke with my dealer yesterday and my 831krss is coming off line tomorrow and he said the transport company has been really good about delivering quickly so he is expecting delivery late next week or early following week. I placed my order on March 28 so it's right on schedule to what the dealer originally told me. I'm still holding my breath though until i actually see it sitting on the dealers lot cause i have a trip planned for May 27th which is cutting close but he said it'll be here in time.
