We bought a new Micro Lite 23LB in 2013 and haven't had any major problems with it. I tow with a 2013 Ford F150 4X4, towing package and 5.0 engine. After a first couple of short trips the steering felt sort of light so I decided to get a WDH. With the amount of money invested in my truck and RV, I thought a WHD would be good insurance and money well spent.
I checked out a few WDH systems and decided on an equalizer after reading many good reviews. I was advised it would be safer to error a bit on the heavy side rather than risk a light setup concerning a WDH. I then bought an 1,000/10,000 equalizer 4 point hitch (Model: 90-00-1000). After reading the installation instructions and a lot of info on this forum, I set it up on my F150 and 23LB and have been very satisfied ever since. The 4 point equalizer made a bigger difference than I would had ever imagined. I now can feel the road like I should while towing my RV and have had zero issues with sway.
I ordered the equalizer 4 point from Dyers RV parts and had no problems. Their prices (on equalizer hitches anyway) were more reasonable than any other online store I could find (the price at a couple of local RV stores for the same WDH was
$200 more!). Currently Dyers price for a 1,000/10,000 equalizer 4 point hitch is $441.95 (less ball...about $27.00) with free shipping (and there wasn't any sales tax in my state, Pa.)
