He said it was from a private seller so I would guess no warranty.

If you do buy it go right to tire store and replace the tires. I more than likely has China bombs on it.

he also said it was brand new. if it was never registered or titled, then it should still have a valid warranty.
the OP still hasn't got back on whether it's used or not.

Pricing?

For the price it depends were you are west coast seems to be higher than around Ohio etc. I saw some 2014 on line for the low 30's so for a 2013 if it has lots of options it could be a good price. Have you checked rvtrader in your area? As for the warranty, for things I have bought the warranty starts as soon as you take possession from the dealer not when you register it. I would call the person and get all the details then you can do a real comparison with other units on the market.

Sorry I'm confusing everyone. Private seller who has never used it. I haven't called him yet cause I'm inquiring if the price is right for it. His piece of paper with all the info on it says it's new. I have no idea if he titled it or checked to see if plates were on it. But all the input here has been helpful. Thanks.

This fifth wheel is still available. He has used it only a handful of times. Stored inside for winters. And am thinking of seriously buying it. But my question now is that I should have the seller operate every single thing in it to make sure no water leeks from sinks or toilet or a warm fridge and so on. That should not be too much to ask I think. Right now it is still winterized. Any opinions?

In short, "Yes"!

You should require a PDI on used trailers just as you would on new. Just plan to work everything from locks to lights, all switches, appliances, hitch, entertainment stuff and ALL systems (do this on battery and also on shore power), and check the roof, ceiling, walls and floors for soft spots, wet spots, prior damage, etc. You get the picture.

Here's one PDI list. There are others floating around, as well, that might be better for a 5er.

And, you really want to do this yourself.

Travel Travelers, 5th Wheels - you can get 30%-35% of MSRP, Class A and C "motorized" expect 20%-25% off MSRP. First year depreciation, expect 30% loss in value, then it flattens out for the next 2-5 years, then after 5 years it drops below 50% of what you paid, (just my experience) RV's are not a wise investment, but then - neither is getting married but we do it anyways.

Just can't believe how hard it is to get a loan for a purchase from a private seller. Even with very good credit scores.
