Thanks! We haven't gotten ours yet but we're pretty excited! Glad we didn't get anything too big. We will be able to go just about any where

We have a 2014 21fbrs... Camped a month in New Hampshire and now in Florida. Great camper with few problems. Perfect size for two of and an occasional grand kid

Just picked up our Flagstaff Micro-lite today and brought it home! Very excited to go out and try it out soon. We didn't get a stabilizer hitch and it towed fine. Just want to know if others tow with stabilizer bar etc?

Do you mean a weight distribution hitch? Yes, I use the Equalizer 4 way anti sway weight distribution hitch set up. It helps quite a bit especially in windy conditions or when a semi passes by. The purpose of a WDH is to transfer some of the weight to the front of the tow vehicle so the rear axel is not carrying the whole load. I have towed without a WDH and will never do that again. It was "white knuckles" the entire trip. Well worth the money. To me it is absolutely essential.

Thanks Glacier Gus. We will probably get one to be safe. I think it's worth the investment and peace of mind. Want to keep everyone safe!

I also use the Equal-I-Zer with my 21 FBRS. I bought the one with 600 lb bars on the recommendation of my dealer. I'm not sure it was the right one. I should have checked with the Equal-I-Zer people before I bought it. You should give them a call. When you get one, buy some extra pins/keys. The can disappear no matter how careful you are. Enjoy!!

We are going to get one because everyone is in favor of it. I want to keep ourselves and everyone we meet in the road safe so we're going to be sure and get this done before our journeys. Thanks for all the great info!!

Vpierce, once you drive with a WDH you will notice the improved stability. You will be glad you purchased it.

Gus, what kind of gas mileage do you get with that setup.

It helps leveling the trailer and it keep it from swaying on the interstates

Vpierce, now that's an interesting question, my mileage. Usually, I'm at 9.9 mpg according to the Durango gauge. However, on my trip to Alaska and back (11,000) miles I averaged 10.5 mpg and that included a lot of mountain driving. The only difference I can think of is that on my Alaska trip I had a hard Yakima storage box on my roof. Could that box create some kind of air flow away from the flat front of the TT giving me better gas mileage? I'm not an engineer so I don't know but I was continually surprised by the better mileage. On an 11,000 mile trip, the extra half mile per gallon was a welcome surprise. I plan on using the Yakima box now on all longer trips. It is a good place to stow the RVQ which is bulky and gets in the way.

Alaska is a beautiful trip! We did it back in 2005. We went with my parents and pulled a fifth wheel. Our son was 13 at the time. It was a great trip. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!! Thanks for the info.
