Rear Camera
I have a 2016 Flagstaff 832IKBS that came with the Furrion Camera mount preinstalled on the camper.
I decided to purchase a camera system for the unit from Furrion to put on my camper to help in backing up. When I removed the cover on the existing mount the unit was pre-wired for the camera. Everything went in fine with no issues. One small problem....no power light on the camera.
I took the camera back off the unit to make sure it was not the issue. Camera powers up fine with the 12v test plug and pairs with the monitor, so I know it is good.
Does anyone know where the fuse or power is located for the preinstalled camera?
Thanks

Typically the cameras are wired to the marker lights. Did you turn your headlights on?

TV headlights have to be on to power up your marker lights.

Did you buy the observation camera or the back up camera?

Bought the current system that replaces what was available in 2016. Furrion Vision S. Vehicle Observation System.

I actually went over the weekend camping close by with Kids and Grandkids. Tried that very thing on the way home. Purposely turned the Lights on in the Truck. Did not do Auto, but went to the Lights On position on the dash. Still does not connect correctly. So I need to mess with it when I have some more time.

The may have it wired to the interior lights in the camper. Check out his video. He had the same problem.

'Typically' the factory uses the running light wire to power the camera and then the TV lights must be on (not auto) to power the camera.
Unfortunately, not all R/Vs are wired the way they are 'supposed' to be.
Get a volt meter and start checking the power source circuit.

Sorry it took so long to get back to this. The problem is identified, but not solved. The issue is that ALL 2019 and newer trucks are not providing a full 12Volts to the running lights.
Furrion is evidently working on an adapter to solve the problem. So the camera works fine in the truck plugged into the power adapter in the truck. Put it back up on the camper, and even though the light on the unit shows it has power. There is not a full 12 volts.
So the adapter is supposed to be out in October or so.

Hi
I have a 2019 forest river shamrock with the camera mount prewired. I had a camera installed at the dealer . it is not a furion but is suspposed to be a good camera . the installer had to cut the plug off of the wire in the camper connection because it didn't match up . We checked it out at the dealer and it powered up and the picture was great but once we hit the rd the picture was jumpy and flickering constantly and sometimes showing no power . Do these wireless cameras work or are they a waste of money .?

Welcome to the forum, cuckooart. It sounds like the signal from the camera may be marginal when going down the road. Some camera systems offer a repeater that you can install in or under the trailer to boost the signal to the monitor in your tow vehicle.
What camera system did they install?

The name of the camera is Liehuzhekeji which I purchased on Amazon after I talked to Forest River in which they said, any camera would work on the prewired 2019 Shamrock 19 camper . Its not a back up camera its used for driving down the rd to see who is in back of me and approaching so I can change lanes more easily . Its really disheartening after spending for installation and the price of the camera . Thanks for your help.

I found this wireless camera from that manufacturer on Amazon.com.
https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Moni.../dp/B07RB3CDFG
Is this the one you bought? In the Q&A section they say the signal will reach only 20-40 feet. They tend to be optimistic with their marketing.
The ad says it has a 30-day money back guarantee if you’re within that timeframe. If not, ask them about a repeater to extend the range.
