Recommended trailer tires....
I have the dreaded Castle rock load range d on my 5th wheel. They have a 3116 build date. Would like to replace and looking for a decent brand tire at a decent price. Any info would be great!

Go to safercar.gov for tire reviews, lots of horror stories with all brands. Seems as though Maxxis, Carlisle and Greenball have better reviews.
Good luck

Everyone is talking about the new Goodyear Endurance tires made in USA... they were just introduced in Jan of this year, so not any testimonials yet... There are several threads you can search for about people just now putting these tires on,

Faced the same situation a couple months ago. After much research I upgraded to Carlisle's. I opted to not buy Goodyear Endurance until after they've been out for a few years.

I have Sailun ST235/85R-16. These are G rated 14 ply tires and cost about $140 per tire. The whole ST vs LT debate will give you a headache so I won't even go there. You will hear a lot of china bomb stories which for the most part are all true. However, Sailun is a tire made in china but it goes through rigorous testing and inspections, unlike most. Many truck drivers use these tires. Last week we hauled our fifth wheel up I-95 in 95 degree temperatures and I averaged between 65 and 70 miles per hour. This was a 4 1/2 hour trip. The tires never got above 120 psi or above 100 degrees. That's pretty good. Hope this helps.

I went from those to Maxxis 8008 E's. Very happy.

Has anyone had issues with Castle rock tires with build date of 3116? I was looking at warranty papers for my tires today and they said they have a 60 month warranty only if they were manufactured in 2016. So did they fix the problem in 2016 so they don't blow. If you have had one with the 2016 date on tire and had it blow please let me know.
