Reese revolution pin box

My Revolution was damaged while in a shop for other warranty work--guess what... The only way to replace the revolution is through the factory.

two weeks at the soonest until the new pin box arrives-- there goes several camping days...

Nuts...

How and what did they damage on the hitch? I would be wanting to see what other damage was done if they damaged the pinbox.

Sounds like they tried to tow it without the wedge in place. I would be looking at the frame as well for damage.

You should be able to tow it with the wedge in the storage position as long as the pin box is still bolted solid. The wedge has to be taken out of the storage position and bolted in behind the pin. Why would they take the wedge off?

I'm concerned about the way they lift em with a tractor to move em around the lot. If the punch (back up) the 5er into a stall, what's to keep the box from spinning.

That's what I was thinking myself. My dealer had asked for my truck to be left for the day when they replace the decals next month. Saves damage and messing up the work I have done getting things working nicely with my Reese hitch.

Nothing would keep it from spinning unless they inserted the bolt at the back of the pin box which I doubt very much whether they would do.

Yep- that's what they did- put two bolts in to keep the pin box from moving- then forgot to take them out- bent the s$&t out of the hitch- which is being replaced as well- but I have to wait for the factory pin box since Lippert made the hanger to fit only the revolution pin box, others are wider and won't fit into the hanger... Oh well- I guess I'll stay home for a few weeks, miss prime camping time, and practice being patient...
