Relocating water filter: My solution

There have been several threads regarding removing the water filter(AKA Water Time Bomb) from inside the trailer. I wanted to share my solution (Flagstaff 21fbrs):

I installed two 1/4" threaded "U" hooks under the trailer, near the edge of the pass-thru floor. Fittings, a hose bib and quick-connects were added to the filter. QC fittings were added to the 4' hose and long supply hose.

The assembly hangs from the hooks when we are parked and setup.

I also moved the water pump closer to the door and added a protective cage made of wire shelving. I can monitor the pump and lines, and also access the valves thru cutouts in the cage.

So far I am happy with the setup.

I'm thinking about moving my water pump to the other side behind the water heater on mine but haven't had time to investigate it.
