Is it a bad idea to mount solar on the roof? Are there metal rafters?

Any one have any luck mounting solar on the roof? I am thinking it isn't a good idea to mount them on the roof.

BUT..... I was more concerned about the strength of the roof. Is there metal roof rafters to mount the panels to?

My roof looks like it might just be VERY thin ply-wood with 4 inch of foam insulation. Seems strong. I am 250 lbs and was up and installed vent covers.

Where's the BEEF? I want to mount the panels to metal not 1/8 in plywood.

not sure on the flagstaff if its metal rafters or wood ...
maybe lou would know better .

with that being said there are rafters but not sure the composition .
