Sewer hose storage

I have read that some people use a pvc post under their bumper to store the sewer hose. For those that have done this. How do you install/hang the pvc post to the bumper or elsewhere?

For the ones under the bumper, I used a 1" sq tube with tabs on the ends and a 17/32" dia hole in the center and drilled a 17/32" dia hole in the frame flanges and used 1/2" thd'd rod with nyloc nuts to hold them. Put a 1x2 oak board on top of the tubes to rest against the frame. The other round tubes I mounted with aluminum straps and 1/4" self tapping sheet metal screws thru the straps.

OldCoot,

I have a Solera and using the PVC fence post I only have a lttle over six inches of ground clearance.

Do you have more clearance? I'm worried that 6" is not enough ground clearance? Anyone else share my concern?

Thanks

Measuring from the bottom of my 2 tubes, I still have 16" clearance.
