Slides and power?
Quick question. I'm parking my 5th wheel in my daughter's driveway for a few days. Can I open the 3 slides without the use of the 50 or 30 amp power? How if I can? What can I use without power? Hope you can help. Thanks again to all of you who have been kind enough to help. I'm learning 1 thing at a time as I go go thru the RV experience. Love it!,!,

Your slides operate on 12v DC battery power, not on 50 or 30 amp AC power.

Yes, considering the battery is charged and you do not kill it using lights. You'll need battery power to close the slides when you leave. You can plug into a regular house outlet and use lights and small current items. Plus it'll charge the battery.

X3 on the 12V for the slides. You will need one of these adapters for 50amp to 15amp to plug into the house plug. (Different adapter for 30amp,,you were not clear)
Make sure the outlet is NOT a GFI outlet. Also, DO NOT PLUG INTO A DRYER OR COMPRESSOR OUTLET, you will fry everything electronic.

You can get a 50-15, or 50-30 and 30-15.
I have never used the company in thie ad below. Just using their picture so you know what to look for.

Ok, no problem, click on the link I provided and buy a 50amp female to 15amp male to plug into house plug. Read my warnings about what not to plug into.

You'll still need the adapter but due to the size of the 50 amp cable it is ok to run a standard heavy gage extension cable (cord) from the house to the camper. Of course, you probably had already planned to do that.
